A goose (geese) that is not me!
I don't think I mentioned this yet but the bloody wind has been blowing hard for the last five days now. Mixed with some rain it is being quite the pest at camp and, as it is head on to us, it is making my fuel efficiency bloody horrible! We hear that although it is a bit ordinary in WA, that SA are getting their worst winds in 50 years! I know this because we have been listening to ABC local radio. A lot. We must be getting old...

We had an early but relaxed start to the day as we had breakfast in the camp kitchen and then a shower. Each. Not together. Dad and Pia headed off to Norseman early and we wandered in around 10.30 am. A quick stop at the IGA, topup of the drinking water from the info booth people and we were off toward Kalgoorlie. We were hoping to pull up around 60 km short, but ended up in a ripper free camp spot around 12 km SW of Kalgoorlie at Lake Douglas.

As it was a fairly short drive of around 280 km we arrived mid afternoon. It is now around 5 pm, we have set up camp, Suz and I went for a romantic walk around the lake (more like a dam,if you are from the East), an epic saga of a game of Uno and now a Green Curry cooking on the fire.

Happy days!
