sorry I’ve been a bit slack lately. Too busy having fun. I start on a sad note sorry. The day we got to Margaret River there was a murder/suicide. Very sad for those involved. Moving on from here we stop at the Surf beach then travelled north to Cape Naturiste for morning tea and Busselton for lunch. At 1.84km long it is one of the longest in Australia. A quick trip through Bunbury then stopped at Gnomesville. Camped in nearby NP. Fuel up at Collie then drove to Narrogin for lunch in a Cly Pit. Then headiest north to Beverley, where we stopped to have a look at a locals collection of vintage relics. He had a bit of everything. Camped in town RV park. York just up the road is WA’s first inland town. Explored here for a while then move on to Meckerring which is the place of Australia’s largest earth tremor. Registering at 6.9 on the rictor scale. The next town was Cunderdin, which has a Ettimogah Pub. Camped just past Merredin Had a quick look at Southern Crops (the town). Then onto Coolgaedie, start of the Goldfields. A short trip into Kalgoorlie mines department to get Kens mining licence and maps on where we can go. We tried a few different areas. A lot of rubbish material, but no gold. Caught up with my sister at a concert in Kal. And she came out with us the next day still no gold. A video at the museum did mention that your lucky to get a bit gold in about 1000 hits. We will give it a few more tries on the way back to Esperance.
Once again pictures to follow.
