Our wonderful home for the next month!
Our first stop was Kalbarri, which was about three hours north of Geraldton. It's a small town right on the beach. The beach is gorgeous and very calm. Every morning they feed the pelicans, which is quite a sight! We stayed two nights here, at a camp site directly opposite the beach. We spent one day completely on the beach and then explored the area the next day. We drove around the National Park and found some secluded spots around there. You really need a 4x4 for some of the tracks so we didn't see as much as we wanted.

We went to a parrot santuary, which was nice but the flies there were too much. In your eyes, mouth, ears, everywhere! In the end, we rushed through it so we could just get out. There was a tower up there which was for whale spotting. It was the wrong time of year for us but it did give some spectacular views. The next morning we packed up our tent and were on our way to the next stop.
