A van well packed
Well, we've made it just over a week and after a few small teething problems like realising we have way too much stuff and ditching it and testing out our jack on our first blown tire, we're still going strong. We have pit-stopped our way up the beautiful west coast stopping at Coronation Beach, Kalbarri, Denham and are now kicking back in Exmouth after having snorkelled over the beautiful Ningaloo Reef. I have to admit that even though Tom has settled into the nomadic way of life quite nicely, it has taken me a while longer to get used to the campervan lifestyle; 'nesting' each evening and things being in a less convenient place than at home. But saying that, we have stayed on glorious beaches watching the sun set over the ocean with a glass of wine (or two and one time a cocktail) fished till Tom caught something huge but had to return it 'cos it's not edible (i caught a squid!!) and had fresh coffee every morning in some serene bush camp with our trusty Nespresso machine. All in all, its not been too bad:-)

Tomorrow we start to long stretch of driving that should get us

Chillin' out with the champers ;-)
through Karratha, Port Headland and into Broome. We don't plan to stop much other than to refuel, sleep and stretch our legs but we're geared up with Zorro on my iPod to help whittle away those long hours as well as some casual conversation, long thoughtful silences and smiling with hand solutes as we pass fellow travellers heading in the opposite direction.

We'll touch base again soon and hope that everyone is well. We have sparodic phone reception so do send a text or email and we will recieve them at some point :-)

wishing i was in your shoes
Hi Anna & Tom - Love the lifestyle I've been thinking of you both on your travels its very hard to get down to the very basics. Over Easter Ray & myself went on a 3000km road trip out past Kalgoorlie to visit the Anthony Gromley sculptures on Lake Ballard. Have some great photos to show you. There's an interesting website if you want to know more. But apart from that I have been knuckling down with study. Lots and lots of reading but I'm loving the challenge its getting my brain working again. Safe travels I hope your doing your fair share of the driving too Anna good practise. Look forward to your next blog. xxxx
