This amazing spectacle "Staircase to the moon" only happens twice a year and only in 2/3 places in the world, one of which is Broome, North-Western Australia so off we popped to enjoy the wonder.

Hundreds of people flocked to Town Beach and awaited the site, lots of hippies gathered in bare feet wafting incense and chanting. The number of people there didn't seem to affect the amazing atmosphere when the awaited site began to appear, there were gasps and clapping and then complete silence.

I am not sure if the pictures do it justice, it's one of those things that you have to experience I think.

Our last day in Broome was spent at Cable Beach, just enjoying the sunshine. The following day we moved Southwards to Coral Bay where the Ningaloo Reef is, on our way we stopped off at 80 Mile Beach. It's an amazing beach, just vast streches of white sand and amazing crystal clear water, we wish that we could spend longer here but we have a date with some fish at Ningaloo Reef so onwards we plod.
