Just gets better and better

My friend Mel came over from Sydney to see Canberra for 2 days, i took her on the typically touristy thing you do here *which really is just walking around the lake...* We had a good time and then it was off to our bus for our 8 hrs over night trip... not fun!

After little to no sleep on the horrid bus we get to Melbourne at 8 am and my friend Andy (from back home) met up with us and took us back to his place. We unloaded, he went to work and Mel and I set out to explore Melbourne.

Running on no sleep and getting kinda dillusional, we walked through downtown Melbourne...went to the botanical gardens...the war memorial...St.Kilda beach and Ackland street *the cake shops there are to die for!! and so is the shopping* Mel only stayed for two nights and then headed back to Syd. I stayed for 5.

It was nice to walk around aimlesly figuring out the tram system and getting lost downtown. We went to the Victorian Markets which were amazing, thank god i didnt spend anything * i really could have!!* Andy took me out with some of his friends to St.Kilda *the main touristy beach place in melbourne* for a night of drinking. It was a lot of fun! Great people here.

I walked a long chaple street many of the days i was alone, which has all the expensive shops *cathe you would have gone into debt!* Ive been very good with watching my money.. on 'things' anyways :P i only have so much room :P

Over all Melborne is an amazing city. Andy took me out for dinner on my last night there. We ate in this really nice place in the heart of the city looking out on the Yara river that goes through the city. Then we went and walked through the amazing casino *i bet a dollar and lost it all!* It was an amazing experience and i would deffinatly go back. I think later on in my travels i will head back and do the great ocean rd.
