G'day fellow Brits,
As you can tell im hugely behind with my journal so i am going to try my hardest to catch up and get you some more images on. Hi mom HI Dad!
Sun 9th Jan
I have a fantastic 12 hours sleep and im not sure whether i feel better for it or not! David decided to go surfing with his friends so me and Tayla take a walk down to the Red Lion, no it's not a pub (what do you think i am) it's an artshop! I buy me and Tayla a cute little ornament and i buy myself this gorgeous glass pendant which has green and blue inside it and it is a bargin for $25 as it is handmade. Since it is such a beautiful day we go for a walk on the beach to find David and do a bit of sunbathing. I have just realised that trying to find someone whilst they are surfing is near impossible as everyone has black wetsuits on and looks the same but through some mere miracle we managed to find him in the surf and set down in the sand whilst he finished
sunset 10th
start of the sunset on the 10th up. I have a practice of my poi (im getting good now) and David notices us so he comes out and we go for lunch. After lunch it is still really hot so we go back down to the beach where we all go for a swim and i get taught how to use a bodyboard in the sea which i cannot do at all, i nearly drowned my self twice and there is nothing worse then sea water going up your nose and down your throat to make your day! It has been a really nice day and i have enjoyed myself and look forward to one day having my own little family to play with on the beach in Oz. We top the day off with going out for pizza for dinner in San Remo. Now listen to this for gorgeous pizza toppings - Half pumpkin, pesto and feta cheese and the other half seafood (things with arms and suckers and stuff) very interesting! The pizza was fantastic and the best that i have ever eaten in all my life especially the seafood you would never get anything like that in England. We all go home and go
and watch the sunset before going off to bed early as very tired from lots of sun and swimming in the sea. By the way this was the last entry in my written journal that Roo gave me (cheers sweetie) so i now have to buy a new one.
Mon 10th Jan
Would just like to say G'day to my second written journal and welcome him into my life, i think i will call him , hmmm, Paddy yes Paddy is fitting i think! Anyway up early at 8.30 this morning and today is the day that Tayla goes home. We get breakfast and we all go into San Remo to watch the Pelicans being fed which is a fantastic sight. I ahve decided that i will be leaving Philip Island soon and have planned to stay for a couple of days in a place called Wollongong on the way back up to Sydney so i get on the phone to book my travel and accomodation. I bump into my relative John by the pelicans and he has rode his bike down (new years resolution to ride everywhere) he is certainly a lot fitter than me but i
think i am just lazy. After watching the pelicans we go to Cowes to get some photos and go shopping for a lamp for Davids place and as usual my fantastic taste in home decor wins the day. We get some lunch then Tayla packs up her things and we go to the beach for a little while and we go and play in the sea. David is taking Tayla to see some family so i am staying here and ahve invited myself over to John and Judys for Dinner. I wave them off and then take to chilling out on the balcony in my bikini watching the sea and drinking a nice ice cold beer ( and yes us english people have no idea what cold beer is the Aussies on the other hand have it down to a tee ) - absolute heaven. I am enjoying this life a bit too much and decide to get ready for John and Judys a bit late but no loss there. I have a suprise to see that John and Judy have Mark and his boys there as well as Lindsay and Brendan so looks like it is going to be
a very drunken BBQ, yay. I didn't have any wine to take and i didn't think it fair to pinch Davids nice stuff so i take all i had , my bottle of vodka. I still get given lots of wine and beer and am very soon well on my way to being trollied. In my drunken slumber i think it is a good idea to watch the sunset so Brendan comes with me on his bike and Linsay will catch us up with the dogs. The sunset is beautiful (as you will see from the pics) but by the time Lindsay arrives he has missed the sun setting. We all go back and me and Linsay have demolished all the wine and beer so we crack open the vodka and get stuck in. It is getting very late and just as me and Linsay are just getting started everyone else is ready for bed and they all start disappearing until me and Lindsay are left to polish off the remains of the bottle of Vodka. In a very drunken stuper we decide to go for a walk for some fresh air and go and look at the stars as they are at their most beautiful here in Australia and over the sea in the clear sky. After a very long night i manage to get back to Davids at 3.30 in the morning oops!
Tue 11th Jan
Woke up feeling very ill this morning and David not being very impressed by the time i arrived back this morning which to me was really funny, he he. Once i am up and feeling barely human we go into Cowes to get some food for my very long coach journey in the morning, by the time we get back we have lunch then go to the beach for a few hours to make the most of my time left. The weather is too hot today and at 37 degrees it may be the hottest i have felt since coming to Oz. I certainly have to wear my factor 30 today and not even think about trying to get a tan as it is too god damn hot to mess around. I keep taking regular dips in the sea but it is just too hot so David drives back and i take a nice walk along the beach back for a little bit of me time (and to check ou the hunky surfers ;0) Along the beach i see Mark and he says Lindsay has gone back already and he didn't even come to say bye, i will be having words with that cheeky young man when i see him next! I pop round to see John and Judy so i can ring England to tell them where i am off to and my mom makes me laugh by saying "who do you know in Wollongong?'" nobody like the whole of Australia, bless her. I go back to Davids and because it is still really hot we decide to go for a walk on the beach and at 8.30pm people are stilp swimming in the sea. The sunsets on the beach and i stupidly forgot to bring my camera to the most beautiful sunset i have ever seen in all my life, the sun reflects red onto the sea and the sand (looked just like the posters you buy at uni)that view will definatly stay with me for the rest of my life it was breathtaking and made me cry (im such a wuss). I go back and relax for a while before going to bed early to recover from the night before.
good night boys and girls
