Ah yes, the time had come, the Formula 1 circus finally hit town !!! The time when I can finally act my own age again.....7 years and 8 months..... As it's in the middle of town (rather, taking over all of Albert Park), there had already been plenty of activity around the park getting everything oragnised and set up. So driving past it once in a while was a slight form of torture (for this 7 year old anyway)...... The week before the GP was a busy one anyway for me, so plenty of distractions. The Grand Prix was a 4 day affair, the first day there wasn’t that much actual racing happening but it was just a case of scoping out the lie of the land and working out the best spots to watch there wasn’t much F1 action but it was still a great day of various cars driving around the track. It wasn’t until day 2 that we got to see some F1 action, there were two practice sessions, such was the proximity of the hostel to the track that the first one woke us up, as we had consumed too much beer the evening prior!
