Introducing the Gully Travellers

Here we are only 12 sleeps to go! Once again we have got together to countdown the days until we go. All the cases have been packed with Peter winning the prize for being the best packer. The girls are all secretlly pleased that he has lots of space in his case, as that means we can sneak things in that wont fit in our cases! (Shhh don't tell Peter). We are organised now Kevin (Sandra's dad) is picking Jenny and Sandra up on Saturday 17th April at 10.00am. (Mind you the plane doesn't go until 3.30pm but we have all decided that we would rather be out at the airport early!) After picking us up we will then pick Robyn and Peter up by 10.30 and then be at the airport at 11.30am. Then we are planning to have lunch at the Irish, where else?? (you are welcome to join us and come wave us off!!). You will see from our photo's that we have our mascot "Clarkee" who we intend to have in most photo's that we have in Italy and so it will become Clarkee's tour of Italy and hopefully he will help overcome language barriers when we are travelling! Not sure if he won't come back with a drinking problem!! Oh no, I have just looked at all the photo's and we are all holding drinks and we haven't even left yet!

So far we have 30 people's emails, so please don't forget to put comments when you can so we can have some communication with home when we are travelling.

When you look at the Gully Traveller team, you can see that we all have our jobs to do while we are away! Peter has done an amazing job organising our itinerary and making sure we have a room to stay in each of the places we are staying and also setting a budget for each day, much to Jenny and Robyn's disgust! The plan is that each person has $150.00 each day for food etc, but Jenny and Robyn think they have $150 each and that Pete and I will be paying for the food and drinks. Think again girls!!

We are all so excited and this has been a project in the planning for two years, with us saying New Years Eve 2009 "We are going to Italy next year", at New Years Eve 2010, we said "We are going to Italy this year" and now we are saying "We are going to Italy this month!!!"


Next time I write we will be on our way on a trip of a lifetime, hope you enjoy our tales and photo's.

I think I have had years of financial controlling funds, Peter earns I spend, doesn't get any simpler than that, and girls, hey, thats even without a 'tap on the shoulder' if you know what I mean???????
