Spontaneous decisions are often the best and this morning I booked us into one of the modern onsite cabins. The interior was new and fresh and a great setting to continue the experience of a lovely coastal town.

The weather was still very warm but went pear shaped mid-morning which validated our decision to stay put. Strong wind gusts soon made sitting outside almost impossible and before long a smoke haze clouded the town as bushfires set off around the State. It was a good day to be off of the roads as the dismal conditions played a part in tragically taking the life of a motorcyclist on her way to the annual toy run.

Lounging around the cabin was the order of the day and the curry and wine for dinner went down a treat.
