Super Pit No.1
Hi Everyone
We are now well and truely on our way home.. we have stopped tonight in a tiny town about 130K's east of Ceduna.
We are camped behind the local Pub (which is closed on Mondays).. with only two other caravenners. Going by the silos opposite it is a grain growing area.
Over the past few days we have been at Bindoon, Southern Cross, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Fraser Range Station, Madura, Nullabor Roadhouse.
Found Kalgoorlie- Boulder absolutely fascinating.. only spent 2 nights but would like to have spent longer... we have attached a photo of the Super Pit ... which we think speaks for itself as to how amazing it is.

Perhaps the highlight would have to be the one night spent at the Fraser Range Station... whilst it has destocked at the moment.. it is in the process of re stocking with beef cattle. This was truly a memorable experience as we were taken around the property. They are endeavouring to restore the original buildings and have a lot of work ahead of them.

We were hoping to see the whales at the Head of the Bite, however sadly the road was closed due to a double fatality on

Super Pit No.2
the road to Marine Park.. apparently 2 young women were invovled... and the road will be closed for several days whilst it is investigated as to what happened... it was discovered early on Sunday morning. Very sad. There was much activity when we arrived at the Road House.. with police flying in from Adelaide. The Nullabor looked absolutly lovely.. so green, quite different from our last crossing.

The days have been sunny... around 16c, however the nights and mornings absolutely freezing... we do have our trusty little heater which has been fantastic... with also the hot water bottles getting plenty of use. As we were cold in bed..Henry came up with the great idea of purchasing an "Emergency Blanket" which has worked like a charm.. must say we have become most resourceful on this trip.

Looks like this will be our last "blog"... so we thank you all for listening to us and for your responses.
It has been the most amazing journey for both of us.. we have met many interesting people from all parts of the world... and seen the most wonderful sights... and some hilarious stories that we will never forget.

Lastly, we must

thank our Truck.. it really is the most magnificent piece of machinery.. and of course our little Tvan.. which caused great interest everywhere we have been.

Congratulations
Congratulations on making it thus far. It was great that you could spend an afternoon and night with us at Bindoon. I trust the rest of the trip will pass without incident and that you will be able to sort out your health problems on your return. Lots of love. Frank Frank
