Leaving Coober Pedy, we took the dirt track to
William Creek, population between 2 and 8 depending on who you listen to and had a XXXX in the pub.
The significance of William Creek to us is that this is where our friends Bod and Matilda had visited last December and challenged us to get to the pub (we did), find their photo on the wall (we did) and after making the requisite donation to the Flying Doctors (we did) put our photo next to it (we did). Wahey! Challenge complete!
That night, we slept by the campfire in swags in the desert in front of the pub and saw the largest (poisonous) centipede ever.
