Sunset at Ceduna
Pic taken from front of our van After 3 days in Ceduna we have moved down south to Streaky Bay. Not far, about 100klm, so it was a quick trip today. A bit different from the long drives we have had across the Nullarbor etc. I forgot to tell you about 3 men (in their 70’s) that we met while playing golf across the Nullarbor. They were telling us that a couple of weeks ago they were having a drink at their local and after a couple of beers, someone decided that they should get in their car and drive across the Nullarbor, playing golf all the way. So they set off in a Station Wagon full of grog and are having a ball. As I have said before, it is the people you meet that really make our trip memorable. Also about the decorated trees across the Nullarbor. You can find anything you want there. There is a tree dedicated to BRAS only, one with Men’s Undies and many that specialise in only shoes. It is so much fun. Rodg and I are gathering bits now and saving them for our trip across next year. If you have something you would like us to place on a
Day shot of Ceduna Bay
Unfortunately it was overcast. Should have taken pic yesterday. tree, just give it to me when I come home. So now we are staying here at Streaky Bay for about 3 days. Today we took off 4WDing over 150Klm of rough dirt roads that took us to some beautiful coastal spots. We even came across a Sea Lion Colony. Tomorrow we plan to go fishing. We have found a couple of spots that we like the look of. I am going to cast a line tomorrow and hope I have more luck than Rodger has had. It is getting quite cold down here in the south. Guess we are close to the Antarctic after all. Sorry the pics were a bit mixed up yesterday. Not my fault, this program is NOT user friendly. I will try again tonight. Better go and prepare dinner. Oh before we go I must tell you that everyone has told us about the number of mice that plague this town and enter your annex and van. So off we went to Mitre 10 and bought up of deterrents and catches. So watch mice, the Hendo’s are prepared. Luv to all Rodg and Di
