I have prepared a basic itinerary and attached it below, ofcourse these sort of plans go out the window the minute you walk on the plane but it gives an idea of where I would like to go.

Only two days to go.

Middle East Itinerary

Arriving UAE, Sunday April 23, 5.10AM

Deira mini bus station - Sharjah every 20 minutes

Stay at the Sharjah Youth Hostel (Ph5225070) Pg 325

Visit the Heritage area, Sharjah Archaeological museum, Sharjah Desert Park 9am opening

Monday April 24

Full day Dhow tour Musandam Peninsula (Oman)

Tuesday April 25

Stay at Dubai Youth Hostel (Ph 2988161/51) Pg 314

Visit the Hatta Heritage Village (open 8.am) - Al-Sabkha bus station Bus No16 every 50 minutes from 6am

Khor Dubai, Dubai Museum, Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum House, Jumeira Mosque

Visit the Burj al-Arab and the Hydropolis

Wednesday April 26

Fly to Yemen 6.55am

Stay at the Arabia -Felix in the old city Ph 287330

Visit the National Museum, the Great Mosque, Military Museum, Souq Al-Milh

Dinner at Al-Fanoos and a trip to the Hammam Abhar

**Organise Air tickets to Sayun**

Thursday April 27

Trip to Wadi Dhahr (Dar al-Hajar), Shibam, Thilla, Kawkaban, Amran

Stay at the (Jabal Kawkabam Hotel)

Friday April 28

Visit Shaharah - Stay Funduq Khaled

Saturday April 29

Visit Al Hajjarah (Al Hajjara Tourism Hotel - Crn room second floor)

Sunday April 30/ May 1

Fly to Sayun and visit Shibam and Tarim (Sana city hotel)

Monday May 2

Visit Zabid

10-15am Depart to Dubai - Arrival 12.15am

Bus to Al-Ain (Bur Dubai bus station every 45min)

Stay night in Buraimi - Stay at Hamasa Hotel

Go for a Sheesha at Merkato

Monday May 10

Bus to Muscat (2 per day) 1pm and 5pm, 4.5 hrs

Naseem Hotel (Mutrah) - later walk the Cornische

Tuesday May 11

Mutrah Souq, Mutra Fort, Suktan’s Palace, Forts, Bayt Az-Zubair

Taxi to Ruwi - Sultans Army museum

Bus 26 Natural History Museum open 5-7pm and the Grand Mosque

Wednesday May 12-14

Ras AL-Jinz, Wahiba Sands, Masirah, Jebel Sams, Nizwa, Nakhal, Rustaq, Sur, Bahla, Jabrin, Jebel Ahdar, Wadi Hoqain

Wednesday June 7th
Kuwait to Bahrain by air (6.20pm) Drink at the Baisan Hotel perhaps

Friday June 9th

Bahrain to Dubai 7.20pm

Saturday June 10th

Liwa oasis and Abu Dhabi

Sunday June 11th

Liwa Oasis and Dubai (Irish Village for a beer)

Monday June 12th

Fly home leave 10am, arriving 8.20am 13th June
