Not far from the city is a beautiful beach town called Glenelg. Beach but no waves - sorry surfers! You can drive or maybe the tram from the city is a better option for you. Once you arrive you will notice a long pier, grassy picnic area and the kid in you will see waterslides!!!! Or the carousel or the games room - so much fun!!! Take a stroll around and you will come to an old tram carriage or head into town a little bit and do some light shopping (along the tramway line). There are some nice cafes in this strip too but I found them a little bit expensive. In Summer the kids will love the water play area in what seems to be the mall or square.
