Departure on Thai Airlines TG474 to Bangkok

A speedy check-in experience at Thai, with lots of counters open. We were served by a young Russian woman who said all we see about Russia on the TV is rubbish. Pity, there was not the time to explore this sentiment.

Building works continue at the eastern end of Brisbane's international terminal. We'll be here a few times this year, I wonder when the works will be finished?

Our aircraft is a Boeing 777-200, 309 seats 3 + 3 + 3. We are very pleased to have a vacant seat in our three. Flight time to Bangkok is normally 9hr 10min, but today we're told it's only 8hr 40min. Good food and great service - one hour into the flight and we'd had two drinks services and a meal, served with metal cutlery. Very nice French wines.

Waiting for the shuttle to our airport hotel. Smooth sailing through bag pickup, immigration and customs. Our plane to Yangon leaves at 8am tomorrow.
