Townsville and Magnetic Island

Just wrote a big entry for this but for some reason the website crashed and despite the fact I had saved it, I lost the whole lot! So instead of writing it all again here is a snapshot low down

- Townsville is VERY quiet, except the pub opposite our room
- Had a really bad cold and felt horrible so was very glad we had "splashed out" on a double room with TV.
- Went to Reef HQ which had a big aqaurium and we saw beind the scenes of their turtle rescue centre
- Magnetic Island was very nice
- Stayed at Base Backpackers hostel and was the sort of place where there were a lot of party games to win bar tabs. Despite my best efforts in "underwear beach race" and Dan's trooper like determination in "strip musical chairs" we didn't win anything.
- Went on a ridiculous tour of the island with crazy Dave who spent a long time telling us his life story, it was tough going but did get to feed the local rock wallabies - very cute!!!

Hi Helen- Shame we couldn't read your first missive, but enjoyed what you have put - especially the pictures. Spooky how like Nanny you look in pic 10. Must the close proximity to an animal that did it! See you soon. Love Moot xx
