This is for you Kirbs! Well we have had a very restful day today and that's been very welcomed. Sadly the weather hasn't been the best.. Raining intermittently and generally overcast. It was very hot overnight so was a nice relief. Still very warm air, but we have had a wet tail dozens of times today! However we've still managed to get out and about!. You walk out the back gate of the caravan park and the beach is just through the trees. The tide was incredibly high this morning so there was no visible sand on the whole 4 mile beach! Amazing site! Once the tide went out though I managed a beautiful ocean swim in the region of the stinger net! The water is sooo warm! It started pouring while I was swimming! Its pretty wild. I had a swim in the pool when I came back, that was also beautifully warm! We went for a walk later and got soaked. We found a man made cubby out of palm tree branches. It was very cosy and dry!
We've been into the shops a couple of times, getting supplies and organising trips to the Daintree tomorrow etc. We've decided to hire our own

Its so beautiful, a very special place! car and spend a night up there, leaving the Bago to keep the fruit bats company. The organised tours seem a bit restrictive. I may not get to post to the blog tomorrow but will do when we get back Sunday. It will be a massive photo opportunity up there. We plan to go on the tree top walk, Mossman Gorge, billabong swim, cow bay, see the Big Barramundi (yep there's one), eat a Daintree icecream (world famous!) and many other fab things. And as the girls at work will know I plan to find the biggest, oldest tree that I can possibly find, and sit and breathe.....
Sounds like a dream come true... Until Sunday night, bye for now
