day 55

up early and out, i punched terrys address in the sat nav and set off, the sat nave said it was 230 odd k/l to terrys and i realised he was an hour the other side of brisbane, we made for an area called broadbeach whish is just passed the SURF capital of the gold coast, we found a jekyl motel as all the accomadation on the front were apartment blocks and they werent keen to rent for 1 night,
we booked in and walked up to the beach but after a short while the sky became dark and we went back to the motel.
we had arrangd to meet terry at the glades golf club which proved a tricky one to find but we got there and terry was with his wife and a couple from cardiff.
they served stella so had a few of those and the girls were on the wine, 5 pints and five bottle of wine later we went back to terrys place realeased the babysitter and sat round the poo for a few more drinks, it was a good night all round apart from the fact that rose and nat (terrys missus) were blotto and it proved a real chore getting her home, she shoukld be ok as we have a very long drive ahead of us tomorrow.
terry really likes it over here, the kids are happy and he seems to have plenty of work on, natalie met the welsh girl and that seems to have got her through the initial period and they live in a lovely house with an english bull terrier called bubbles.
