Slept in really late and then went to the supermarket and got stuff for a picnic on the beach which was lovely, and much better than the fake brie that we had the other day on Magnetic Island! The beach was also very nice (but obviously the food is more important and needs to be mentioned first). 14 km of (almost) deserted beach and we're right in the middle of it, so we spent a few blissful hours sunbathing, reading and picking shells on a long stroll as the sun went down. I saw more of those amazing star-like sand patterns like I saw on the beach in Broome and discovered that they're made by crabs - i.e. i had to wait for ages outside the hole and see what crawled out!!

We had the "buffet" dinner at the resort, which is kind of like a small Aussie Butlins. A waitress came over and said "I just had to come over and say that your skirt is absolutely stunning" - bless her! (it was the 'bling bling' one I bought in Coolum!!)
