may 30 torrential rain. went to twitchers. no walk. bikkies and tea. lunch and library. email from service provider. $180 for hosting. pub and footy. more rain.
may 31 enviro day at uni sunshine coast cancelled. went to maleny. rain held off til two. back to mooloolaba for footy.
june 1 to brissie for soccoroos at suncorp stadium. again rain held off. spruiking poor. game good. lots of chances, both sides. kewell header on 47 minutes won it. at end hung 3x5 meter flag from balcony. beer to let traffic subside. rain arrived for drive back to mooloolaba.
june 2 another day of relentless rain. early at mcafe, then library. cabin fever. finally stopped at four. shower and spruik good. cleaned beach of storm debris, plastic pots, bread tray. so glad to walk. cooked in evening alexandra head, neon light and surf rumbling. still but. hard yakka of endurance. a rat bumped the back of my leg. inky blackness and misty. then more rain.
june 3 222ml rain in eumundi. 168 here. today cloudy. humidity 100%. parkedup maroochy beach ocean brown. trash and organic matter litter beach. day of spruiking for excellent result. again glad to walk and talk. many reports of sticker sightings. saw back turtle (fresh water) washed on to beach. clearly struggling. australia zoo guys came and took it for return to habitat.
june 4 sailng over brown ocean. my skipper didn't go out so i went on small catamaran 'jabiru'. the real fun was at the mouth of the river where sandbanks caused breaking waves. we watched several boats including a trawler ground and get lashed by waves. on our return a large black sailboat went aground. waves slammed the hull drenching the decks. they got off and stayed off, waiting for rising tide. called carol. stickers to be sent 'this' weekend. i'm tired of waiting and running out of good stickers.
june 5 maroochy beach heaps more cars with stickers. at one time six in a row!!! ocean slowly clearing.
