The first night we took a walk around the island, it only take about 1- 15 minutes to walk around the whole thing, right before dinner and got an amazing view of our first Heron Island Sunset out over the water. It was an absolutely captivating sight. Over the course of the next few days we had a couple lectures, walked the reef flats at low tide all the way out to the crest looking for small animals that didn’t leave with the tide (On the crest we saw tons of sea cucumbers, starfish, giant clams, and a couple epaulette sharks), and snorkeled around the island a little bit working on our projects and just for fun too.
