Points of stay
Jani and Carolina
Its been a while since my last blog and sorry about that.

Whats happened between now and then is that Ive been really really busy. Im working a lot, and the rosters are being done so, that I never have 2 days off in a row. That makes any day off go past way too fast. Work is work and thats about that.

Carolina finally came on the seventh. I went up to Brisbane to see her and it was actually quite wonderful. We spent the weekend in Brisbane, mostly in the room of our hotel, since Carolina was tired from the long journey and feeling the jetlag. We did though see a lot of Brisbane too. A pretty city it is. We wondered in the Queen St Mall, took the Citycat up and down the river, went to the markets in Southbank, wondered to the XXXX Brewery, which was closed 😞 and visited town library, which was quite cool to say the least. The funniest thing about the library was, that it had two tvs for people with library cards to use. You could go and sit in this TINY cubicle and watch any channel or a dvd by yourself. Ha ha, boy were we laughing when we saw that.

We didnt go out, mostly because Carolina passed out to sleep around 8pm and 10pm each night and her beeing so tired made me too tired so I slept with her.

When we got to Gold Coast we went straight to Main Beach and crashed the bed.

Ive been trying to introduce Carolina the Gold Coast the best I could. We've been around at Main Beach(of course), Surfers, Broadbeach and Southport. Today she went to Surfers while I was sleeping after I got off from work at 8am. That is the reason there wont be any pictures in this Blog entry. She has the camera.

We went to see the humpback whales on Sunday. We were really lucky with the weather. It was sunny, warm and calm. Some people on the boat didnt agree with us and puked for most of the cruise for being seasick. Not a pretty sight seeing half a dozen of ladies puking everything out into little paperbacks. The whales was really really big and cute. They werent in the mood for playing with us, instead they elegantly moved forward and showcased their mighty power of being the largest animals on planet. It was cool, and we can say now, I have seen a humpback whale, sinivalas in finnish and valaskala in carolinasm 😉

We stayed in Kate & Eden's flat for a week and moved to a house with new flatmates on Saturday. We're living with another couple and a girl. There was yet another couple in the house too, but they moved out today. Its a big house in Main Beach and we like it. There are problems in it though. Just to mention one, our windows arent the best of ones and it is fricking freezing during the nights. Fortunately we got a heater in our room, otherwise we would be sick as dogs all the time.

Weve really enjoyd the time together and had a few really good laughs as well. Ill never forget our trip from Brisbane to Gold Coast with all our laughter in the bus and train in the way. Biggest funny thing was HAIKALA, which can mean a lot of things including a shark or a bird.... Dont ask. This is definitely our joke, which nobody could ever understand.

Ill post the pictures later when I get the chance. A lot of good pictures of the skylines of Brisbane and Gold Coast, whales and of course, us 😊

Love ya all, Jani & Carolina

p.s. I attached a route map to where Ive been so far excluding Brisbane and our new home. If you zoom close enough on the satellite map, you'll be able to see the exact buildings/houses where Ive stayed before Carolina arrived.
