Packing

Today I collected my bike, packed in its box ready for transfer to Shanghai, China on Monday, 12 May. Unboxed it weighs 10.3 kilograms, boxed 17.2 kilograms. Hopefully the cardboard and packing material will safeguard it against damage in flight.

Also have now packed both duffle bags, one contains clothing for all seasons, and the other, tent, sleeping bag, pillow, sheet, bike parts and spare tyres and tubes. Hopefully what has been forgotten is available on route. Bag 1 weighs 15.1 kilograms and bag 2 17 kilograms. The excess luggage fees will be another expense.
