Finally we managed to get a flight out of Cairns as soon as the airport re-opened on Friday and we drove up to stay with our friends near Maleny. Dave and Yvonne have a farm with cattle, pigs, horses, hens and ducks so we felt at home. They have twin girls, Sian and Darcy who are 2 and a half and a newborn baby boy called Rhys.

We've done loads of stuff while we are here including:
Australia Zoo (home of Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter)
Exploring old gold mines
Body boarding
Horsriding
Babysitting
Cattle mustering
Fossicking (looking for gemstones)
Exploring more rainforest
Wine tasting (mum and dad only!)
Side saddle riding
Surfing
WWII Air Museum
Ginger Factory
