We had to get up really early at 6am the next morning for our bus to Cairns. A quick look out the window showed us that it was chucking it down outside, not ideal when we had a 15 minute walk to the bus station. I didn't feel too bad as I hadn't drank loads the night before but Freeman was rotten as he had stayed out later than me until 4am. We packed, went to hand our keys in at reception to get our $20 deposits back but reception was closed so I posted my room key and had to miss out on my $20, wounded! Bienvenue sur notre nouveau blog qui vous permettra de suivre la suite de nos aventures en Australie. Nous avons bien profité de ces 3 dernières semaines pour voyager avec mes parents. Nous avons loué un camping-car et avons commencé notre road trip à Cairns pour le terminer a Sydney. Ce fut une superbe aventure qui nous a permis de faire découvrir une partie de ce vaste pays à mes parents ainsi que la joie du camping, dans le confort tout de même. Pour nous, la vie en camping-car c'était le grand luxe, comparé à notre van! Maintenant, nous sommes de retour sur Cairns, nous en avons profité pour visiter le Nord : Daintree et Cape Tribulation et nous allons reprendre la route vers l'ouest, donc Darwin. We started our Christmas adventure with a very early start to drive to the airport, before arriving in cairns around 9am, meaning we had a couple of hours to explore before picking up our Jucy campervan. We explored a Market on the esplanade and a couple of tourist information centres before grabbing breakfast and heading to collect the van. The first thing we did after collecting the van was to head to a shopping centre north of town for food and alcohol supplies. Unfortunately tiredness induced delirium had set in by this point, and we didn't end up planning the meal shopping very well, ending up with a random food selection and not many possible meals! We were going to depart from Arlanda and the destination was Cairns Australia. It was expected to be a long flight and we knew we wanted to benefit from the trip. We downloaded a large amount of movies to keep ourselves entertained and that getting bored was not an option during our forty hour flight. We bought as many sweets as we could carry to keep us awake at least the first half of the flight. There were not any toddlers aboard the plane and no one was disturbing or making noise therefore we were extremely grateful for our safe and quiet flight.
