Moved up from The Gold Coast by train this morning. Took about an hour from Nerang to Roma Street near central Brisbane.

we have an early flight out to Adelaide in the morning. Staying at Meriton Apartments on Herschel Street and managed to get an upgrade to a massive suite ? happy days.

Took the City Cat river taxi along the river from Storey Bridge right through to the more residential areas of Guyatt Park and West End. Good value at $5.20 hop on hop off.

Nice lunch at Blue Basement Cafe on the Southbank. And coffees, mojito and a cheeky beer along the way. The Bavarian Beer Cafe at Eagle Street Pier is worth a visit.

Went to Anzac Square. Being renovated so couldn't take it all in as much as we'd have liked but nonetheless a nice place to pay respects to the fallen.

we are not really big city lovers but from what we've seen in just a few hours today we quite like Brisbane ☺

Lunch on the Southbank. Mrs B's rack of lamb or lack of ram as she ordered!! And my chicken pasta salad. Very delicious and great service. Nice coffee too.
