As seen from Saville Hotel Southbank Southbank take 2
We always seem to end up at Southbank.... Lucky we like it!!
We had the opportunity to stay at the Saville Hotel at Southbank. A family friend of ours is relocating to London and is staying there until they leave. When the opportunity arose to have a "Girls Night" we had to take it. Two mums, 4 little girls and one newborn provide much fun and mayhem for the night. With little sleep we were up to see the sunrise, swim in the spa (the pool was too cold) and have a great time.
It's not often that you get to stay in the city where you live (too expensive for such a thing) so the girls absolutely loved it. We have been back several times this week to swim and visit our friends. They even got babysat there by a babysitter my friend paid. I swear the workers at the front desk must be wondering what we are getting up to. The other night I went up by myself and 5 minutes later came down with my sleeping daughter in my arms!! The girls are able to spend a bit time
Party in the Spa
Saville Hotel Southbank with their friend before she leaves to live in England. And who doesn't enjoy staying in a hotel and jumping on the beds!
Back at Southbank again we went for a BBQ goodbye party for our friends. The Southbank water play area was finally open after taking half the year to finish. The girls were so excited they swam at night. It was a little cool but that didn't stop them. The new water jets and streams were great. It will be busy in the warm weather, lots of kids. They were the only ones swimming at one stage, so I told them to enjoy having it to themselves!
Just today we were back there swimming. It is still really hot in Brisbane. Crazy!!

Looks like lots of fun!
Wow, sounds like you had a lot of fun, and that you took up a great opportunity. Southbank is such a great place, and although I've never stayed at that hotel, it certainly looks like a great place for anyone visiting Brisbane. Cheers, Wes.
