Well here we go again we bought a 3yr old Pajero and a new Coromal Element 612 van so we are ready to start travelling again. Been here in Victoria Point for 2 months now while we regroup, thanks to all our friends for their support and comfort. Both insurance company's paid up although the RACQ were a little slow in giving us our excess. We did a shakedown trip to Tewanten just 180ks out of Brisbane only issue was a leak from the kitchen sink, on return this was fixed by the caravan supplier. For those who haven't been to the sunshine coast, put it on your list, a great place which we have visited many times I have included some photos to tempt you. The 'packing' saga continues. After having a conversation with my sister today I have realised that 15 black tshirts no matter what style, shape, fabric is a little excessive in my luggage. Hagen to Port Moresby was almost an hour late in departing. I got to Port Moresby and was the last person to check in for the flight to Brisbane. The 3 hour flight to Brisbane was uneventful. ... read more

Started this blog early to become familiar with this site and to count down the days! First travelled with my family (husband and four kids) and mum and dad in June 2011. We spent two weeks travelling the Birdsville Track and the Strezlecki Track. Had an absolute ball and the decision was made to definitely travel together to Cape York in June 2012. ... read more

The kids spied this lizard as we were packing up. It was amazing that they found it because it really blended in with the rocks it was hiding amongst. We were constantly surprised by the amount of wildlife out on the track. It is such an isolated area. They were so excited!! Had a hold and then set him free back in the desert. ... read more
