We had been told some bad things about Brissy, that it was boring and had nothing to do. As soon as I stepped out the bus i thought i liked it already. We had only scheduled to stay there for 2 days so wasnt a long stop off.

Our hostel was meh okay quite a big dorm where people didnt really want to interact with each other so we headed out straight away to explore. We walked all over Brisbane CBD and strolled through the botanical gardens which were beautiful with lovely purple flowers blooming over the trelis for about 2 miles! Then we came across the city lagoon which was a lovely big pool over looking the city we saved that for the next day. Headed back to the hostel as we were getting a free meal (a sausage and a bit of bread) and decided wed splash out and having a cider or 2 which turned into about 5 haha whoops all in all it was a fun night out dancing all night.

Then next day we woke up a little late half an hour before check out and raced to pack up stuff a tad hungover ha we headed down to the pool all day but it felt very strange being in a pool looking out into a city backdrop but quite cool!

So now we are in Surfers Paradise which is a little like Benidorm with loads of night clubs but we are skint so no more parties for us! 😞 so for today we will chill out and enjoy jumping over the waves in the sea sounds like a nice day!

hope everyone is good at home x speak to you soon x next stop Byron bay x
