Chris's famous words on stinging tree's....

Hello, well we travelled up to Atherton on our next trip after going to Port Douglas and getting eaten alive by mossies!! Atherton is set in the mountains through the rain forest and on the tablelands, its a pretty little town extremly green!

The next morning we went on a sceanic drive through the mountains on a waterfall route which was really pretty.. consantly being chased by a coach load of japs! which at every minute shead there clothes to jump in the waterfalls!!

We then drove to a place called paronella park which was a cottage and a spanish castle built in the 1930's by a spanish dude by hand! you could see his finger prints in the cement where he scrapped it in by hand the whole thing is built arount a giant waterfall! He also built a lovers tunnel which he only half built but is now home to thousands of micro bats. They put all the babbies in the middle of the cluster and pile themselves aroung and on top of them! Chris's head was litterally touching the roof so we could get right up close to them! You could touch them if we want to but we gave that a miss! i heard they get stuck in your hair but i think that was mum lying to me like the time she said my rabbit 'ran away"!! We also feed the eel's in the waterfall which were all about 4 ft long!

While we treking around the waterfall there was constant warnings about cassawaries which are giant killing turkeys! Have huge powerful legs with claws and they jump and kick you. There were also warnings about stinging tree's which if you brush past them they sting you and you are ill for several months not only that they can release spores that if you inhale again you are ill for several months. Chris was walking up the stairs behind me unaware there where people in front and shouts out Stinging Tree's... Thats what your dealing with when your in the Tropics!! lets say we found it amusing not sure about the people in front!! ha

We then drove to Mission beach and chilled out on the beach and then last night stayed at Rollingston did not chill out on the beach due to a

Bunny
Melly - you really have a future with Great Universal Stores! I like the frock. Chris's rabbit also "ran away" - something else you have in common. Going down to Dorset this weekend. Miss you both loads. xx
