Welcome to Marla. The last town in South Australia prior to the NT border.
Up at the crack of dawn, Uluru is finally our next destination. After breakfast at the park in Coober Pedy, we were on our way. We stopped at Marla, the last town in South Australia for lunch and looked at their local police station and the Royal Flying Doctors Clinic. On the road again, we made across the border and entered the Northern territory, where the speed limit is 130km/h! Next stop was the Erldunda Road House, the turn off for Uluru. We continued west along the Lasseter Highway until dusk, and set up camp for the night at Mt Connor, which is about 100kms east of Uluru. With the beautiful view of the sun setting on the mountain, and nachos for dinner, it was lovely way the end the day.
