Last night we went to the best vantage point to take photos of the sunset on Uluru, and this morning we were up at 4am to see the sunrise. Travers took us to some great places, and these photos are just some that I took. You get stupid and take millions of photos, but they are pretty amazing. It changes colour all day long as the sun hits it at different angles.

After watching the sunrise we walked around the base of the rock. I wanted to climb it but the climb was closed because of the wind. It took 3 hours to walk the 10.6 km loop round the base, and then Travers took us on a 30 minute Mala Walk and explained how the aboriginal people used to live at the rock. We also went to the Cultural Centre and looked at the history of the area and some art.

After that, we drove to Kings Canyon to tonights campsite.

This is where you can climb if the wind is low and the day is not too hot.

This is the chain you cling to - if you let go you'd probably fall and die like the other 36 people who haven't survived the walk to the top.
