13th November 2012,

Left Katherine and hopefully the hot weather behind. Packed up and checked out of the Big 4 and headed to Katherine Gorge. Despite the blazing heat the view was magnificent. Daniel and Alyssa took a dip in the Gorge despite the crocodile warning signs (silly people!!!). Just as they emerged from the water, Daniel spotted bubbles arising from underneath the pontoon (don't know what it was but Alyssa and Daniel are definitely not going in again!!!). Had lunch by Katherine Gorge and headed towards Edith Falls. Edith falls had a few swimming holes for us to refresh. Swimming was not permited between 7pm and 7am as the fresh water crocodiles hunt during this time. We had a relaxing dip and swim at the falls before heading to Kakadu National Park. We camped just outside Kakadu National Park.
