Enjoyed the beautiful town of Mataranka and the hot springs and headed towards Katherine. On route to Katherine, we stopped at Bitter Springs (a flowing spring water river which was allegedly 8 metres deep in some sections). Of course that was a little out of my depth, but Daniel and the girls had a swim and said it was magnificent and refreshing, since the air temperature was about 45 degrees. We checked into the Big 4 campgrounds at Katherine and headed straight to the pools again to refresh and cool down. Katherine has some beautiful attractions and sceneries, but boy does it hot!!! We set up camp and relaxed by the pool.

Hi Amanda, Tell Phil that I am not doing much fishing (too hot to fish!!). We just arrived in Darwin this morning and loving the cooler weather (yeah!!!). Will try and call you soon.
