Day 8

Hi folks

For those who are following our blog, just want to let you know you will possible not hear from us for the next few days due to the service or lack thereof provided by Telstra. Any of you who have listened to radio ads about the team of dog groomers Telstra sent up the Stuart highway to prove they could continue to run their businesses, don't believe it there are hundreds and hundreds of Klms with Zero service.
Today we will head north from our bush camp at " The Pebbles" just north of Tennant Creek towards Daly Waters. Daly Waters is 36 km past our intended right turn but we a told is a must see so will decide later today.
We will then take a left turn onto the "Buchanan Hwy" , this is a graded dirt road of 181 k's to Top Springs then another 240 k's through to Timber Creek on the Victoria Hwy. we will spend a couple of days in the Gregory National park where hopefully I will wet a line. This road passes through iconic cattle station country including Victoria Downs and Kidman Springs.

I am tightening lots of nuts and bolts on our rig this morning as yesterday my CB antenna decided to fall off the bullbar after a few kms of corrugations. D shackles on the towbar mysteriously fall off and disappear, lucky I have spares and will wire the bolts in place
