Well, I've crossed the state line into the Northern Territory, a land equivalent in size to France, Italy and Spain combined, but with a total population of around 200,000. A land that shunned the offer to be a true 'state' in favour of being self-governed....well, it's probably something to do with the fact that it gets more cash from the government this way. See - I am learning some stuff!

Anyway, I've settled in Darwin, (or should I say Dulwin) : a small town, prematurely pushed into being a city, and it shows. Hot, lazy and utterly devoid of life and vibrancy, so much so that I'm glad I'll have only wasted 3 days here by the time I return from kakadu National Park on Sunday.

Talking of Kakadu, I was supposed to go yesterday but on re-confirming found out that the trip was cancelled since I was the only one on it. As you probably know, this is the 2nd time that this has happend and I thought the trip was doomed since I've 2 more tours and a flight neatly booked in and strictly dependant on my adherance to schedule, but luckily I can go tomorrow, so all is not lost.

Treated myself to a McDondalds and chocolates as I've been feeling down. Think it's a 2-day hangover from the standard end-of-tour piss up that took place a few days ago with my fellow Desert Venturers. These events are a really good laugh, but very dangerous to the wallet ... and brain cells.

Kakadu should be fun. A 4 wheel drive, 9 person trip for 2 nights camping under the stars - ACE! I Just hope Jim Jim and Twin falls have re-opened as they sound spectacular but I've heard they are closed due to flooding. That bloody cyclong is really starting to piss me off!

Amazlingly Dulwin has a gay club, the aptly named Throb, which I might check out tonight with the help of some Goon. It'd be nice to be gay for a change since I went incognito on the last tour, (or so I thought - it's hard to tell), making up endless bollocks about football and Keira Knightley's boobs.
