Lush green desert after the wet Hi Everyone,
Since our last blog we left Umuwa along with Erin and headed to Alice Springs. We dropped Bud off at the Pet Resort as our plans were to go to Palm Valley which is a national park and no dogs.
It was extremely hot and nowhere to swim at the valley so we decided to bunker down in Alice for Easter. Bud was happy only 2 nights in the kennel instead of 4.
I cooked a leg of lamb in my ecopot and had a great meal on Easter Sunday.
We left Alice on Easter Monday and stopped over night at Banka Banka Station, a working cattle station just north of Tennant Creek. We arrived at Katherine the following day and stocked up and stayed overnight.
Our next destination The Banyan Farm is about 100 k's south west of Darwin. The Farm is on the Daly river renowned for it's great Barra fishing. It is really a pretty place and is the venue for 2 huge Barra fishing comps one which starts just after we leave.
Glenn has fished twice and has caught some great fish. Barra the staple diet at the moment!!!
Bud has been lucky with most places letting him be off lead quite alot. He has found a friend in the owners dog, who reqularly comes and visit and they have a great play.
We will be leaving here on Tues. and head towards King Ash Bay..
until next time
Deb & Glenn
