Beautiful gum in the Todd river Well this was a pretty quiet day today. It was a really cold night last night. Apparently its pretty normal for this time of year bit I guess we weren't really expecting it. The caravan park manager said its nothing, it will get to -6 (overnight) in July! The day was about 20 degrees so compared to home its still good, but it was cold in the wind!
None the less we still got out and about. Went for a long walk into the town centre. It wasn't so easy to figure out the 'centre' itself. Eventually we found the Todd Mall, which seemed to be where it was at. We went to the information centre to get some information about Uluru and Kings canyon. Took the opportunity to use the free wifi to update the op system on the Ipad!
Its an interesting area, Alice and to be completely honest I'm not so sure I like it that much. Just a personal thing, many might love it. It's quite a size though, much bigger than I'd remembered. It's the gateway to Uluru and Kings Canyon and all the other beautiful natural phenomena and its nestled in the flat

Almost appears like a painting area surrounded by the MacDonnell ranges. Its nothing to see Wedge tailed eagles floating above you, almost as common as wattle birds back home. And beautiful parrots. So there is a lot to like for many.
Rob managed to get a haircut which was great, he was very happy about that. We went to look at the 'Todd River', and of course its completely dry. We did take a few pictures but needed to be careful because its not on to take pictures of the local indigenous people.
We visited the Old Goal where they have recreated it as a centre to celebrate great woman from the area. Some of the pioneer woman were seriously amazing! Tough as nails!
Then we had to walk a little further to pick up my bike. It was all repaired and we headed back to the park. According to the Garmin we've walked 15 k's today so any wonder my feet are sore!
A quiet night tonight. Its good to have a few days of no driving. Not many pictures to post today, so I might upload a few more from the Devils marbles, as there were so many and
