We woke only 4 hours later at 08:00 but didn't get up 09:00 ish and out by 11:00 to do some souvenir shopping.
Another day of light rain and slightly cooler 19 degrees - bummer.
After getting a couple bits in Darling Harbour we called in for hot chocolate at San Churros.
Brian managed a banana, toffee, mini churro and cream creation - piggy!
(I had a couple of churros though to go with my ginger infused thick chocolate - yummee!)

We then got the remaining souvenirs in the shop we usually use near the hotel on Liverpool St.

After this we went out for a walk away from Darling Harbour towards Pyrmont with the intention of walking round the more inland bays.
We got as far as the impressive Anzac Bridge before light rain turned heavier so we hung around for a bit to see if it would clear.
Unfortunately it did not so we headed back slowly to cross the Darling Harbourside along the western distributor road - good views though.

By which time it was 15:00ish so we had tea and decided to eat (yes again!) nearby at the 3 Wise Monkeys as we know

it has good pub food.
Fish, Chips and salad for Brian and Chicken Snitzel and chips for me.
Beer for Brian and Mojito for me - so much for not drinking.
Typical! the rain stopped and the sun came out - got it was only teasing and light rain started again half an hour later.

We bought a lucky dip Oz Lotto ticket in World Square - we live in hope.

Much needed siesta time around 16:30, but woke at 19:30.
So we had tea and hovered up the remain yoghurts and Melting Moments and shared Brian's huge vanilla slice that had leapt into his hand whilst in World Square.

Packing took a while despite most of it being ironing (well done Brian for washing)
We were still tired to go out drinking again so stopped in to watch the Harbourside weekend fireworks and watch TV.

All in all a fabulous holiday.
