We've had landmarks and mountains, so now it's time for a surfeit of beach photos! Yes, in my last few days here I've finally made it out to Manly and Bondi where most other people seem to go as soon as they arrive. I went to Manly yesterday on the ferry, and it's a lovely place with walks along both the harbour and the beach. I can imagine if you wanted a city holiday and a beach holiday in one, you could happily spend a week there as it's a pretty big suburb with lots of different restaurants and cafes. Today I caught the train and bus to Bondi, and did the cliff walk to Coogee which is one of Sydney's most popular walks. It's a beautiful route with lots of beaches en route.

I think the photos show these places off best, so I'll shut up now and let you have a look!

The harbour is on one side of Manly and the sea is on the other. This road connects the two.

There are lots of pools like this in this area - you're still swimming in sea water, but you're protected from the currents.
