Christmas, New Year and a BIG surprise!

Hope everybody had a great christmas and new year!!

We arrived in Sydney after spending a few days in Singapore. Singapore was great fun even in the rain!

We've been staying with Mikeys sister Jackie and her family over the christmas and new year holidays. Christmas was brilliant and we had a proper ozzie dinner of barbequed prawns and a huge salmon! Still couldn't believe we were wearing shorts and t-shirts on christmas day!

New Year was amazing! We spent the day at a viewpoint overlooking the Sydney Opera House and the bridge. Loaded up with a big picnic, we chilled out and watched the harbour go by in the scorching sun. There was plenty of entertainment but everybody was waiting for the midnight fireworks. Five minutes before midnight came the big suprise - Mikey proposed to me! It was such a shock and I didn't have a clue he was going to ask. I said YES and then the fireworks started - it was perfect! We still can't believe we are engaged even now.

Off to travel the rest of Oz today - starting in Melbourne and making our way up to the red centre and over to Perth, before coming back to Sydney. Lots more photos to come!
