Bangkok SunsetBangkok SunsetBangkok Sunset

Our first sunset in Thailand
Help Ian is trying to kill me. LOL

The flight from Sydney was very uneventfull with no turbelence to even mention - smooth as silk. LOL Just as they advertise. Filled in the flight by watching movie after movie. It sure does keep an aircraft cabin quiet with on demand viewing.

We arrived at our hotel about 4pm (8pm Sydney time) in time to see our first Asia sunset - yes a blood red sun setting between the buildings of Bangkok.

It just amazes us as each time we come to Bangkok it looks more and more like a scene from the movie Blade Runner. Street scapes are now filled with flyovers and train lines.

Having such an early start to the day - we decided to change some money for Baht - take short walk - have and early dinner at an old favourite resturant "Banana House", whick lived up to our memories - Mushroom & rice Soup, Pork and Garlic, Prawn Salade and two large Singha to wash it all down. Then back to our hotel for an early night.
