After a very busy day yesterday, decided to go for the easy option today so I took a ferry from Central Wharf In Sydney to Manly. The ferry takes about twenty minutes, it was quite windy and a little bit rough but not too bad. Manly is located seven miles from Sydney and is a very popular sea side destination. There is a main beach where there was a lot of surfing taking place, then further on an enclosed pool which is filled with seawater. Further along is Cabbage Patch Beach. The sand was golden and very fine. I believe the name Manly was given to the place after one of the early founders met an aboriginal man who he thought was manly, hence the name!!?
