We have been down under for one week now and we are loving it. The people have been so friendly and helpful. The flora and fauna so different. Imagine a pair of rain bow lorikeets chattering in the the bottle brush tree which is showing brilliant red blooms it self. The birds are all amazing. Species that we only see in exotic pet stores at home are flying all about and waking us each morning with a deafening cacophony. Too cool. Tomorrow we are heading out of Sydney so we will probably see kangaroos along side the roads. They are just as prevalent (and bothersome ) as our deer in Comox in most parts....we hear.
