Yet another sports event in OZ. We went to see the basketball match between australian boomers and the rivals New Zealand Tall Blacks, respectively number 10 and 12 on the World national ranking. There was a ticket to the Beijing Olympics at stake, exciting. Before the match, after the two teams had finished their warm up, the Tall Blacks did their traditional Haka dance, which was quite impressive.
First half was fairly even, but in the second half the Boomers took a comfortable lead. They won the game with an convincing 23 margin, and will be heading to Beijing next year. After the match we met a few players and walked down by the court.
It had been a great night.
