Our last full day in Newcastle was spent on the lake racing round on a hired speed boat. It seems much harder to get onto the water here as you need a licence and insurance before going anywhere. The weather was not the best and the girls had soon had enough leaving the boys to play around on thier own. Lake Macquarie is the largest salt water lake in the southern hemisphere and host lots of lakeside shopping malls and restaurants. We stayed on the water till just after lunch then returned to the house for sustinence and a hot cup of tea then spent the afternoon chilling and looking over photos.
Tonight we plan to visit an all you can eat restaurant and have a good feed.
Our stay with Neil, Sarah, Katie and Imogen has been great and its been a blast catching up on stories form the UK, we will come away with some great memories of our stay in Newcastle.
