The day the waves came to sydneyThe day the waves came to sydneyThe day the waves came to sydney

This was what was left at the end of the day, still quite impressive when you are standing in 2 feet of water and two metres worth of water comes crashing down on top of you!!!
Well hello there! Have had complaints from a few of you that you had heard nothing from me in a while, the reason being I have been in sydney simply living and finding a job rather than doing lots of exciting things. However I have been up to one or two exciting things; Tom and I have taken a tour of the sydney opera house, we have also been to see the ballet there on easter monday, I have been to the royal easter show, seen nancy cartwright live(aka bart simpson) and I have been bodyboarding in waves left over from a cyclone! The ballet was a combination of ballet and bangara dancing and was called gathering. The cyclone waves were left over from cyclone larry and don't worry mum I went in at the end of the day when they weren't too big although they still had a kick to them! At the start of the day they were about 8 metres high, waves worthy of Maui in Hawaii, by the time i got to them, they couldn't have been more than 2 metres. The royal easter show was originally an agricultural show but has expanded to having a rodeo, motorcross riders and even a lady being shot out of a cannon! It also has a fairground and is kind of meant more for kids i think but i did manage to catch a couple of live bands when I was there and had fun. I have lots of photo's for you showing what I have been up to in Sydney, hope you enjoy them! Make sure you read the captions on the photo's as they explain a bit more about what they are and why they are there! Also although most of the photo's show the sun shining, I should point out we do have miserable days here when it rains and the sky is grey and it is cold! I'm off to do more travelling around Oz soon though (so there will be more blogs soon) and I should be back in the UK in August
Love to you all Sarah xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
