Yes, that's right, I arrived in Byron Bay at 4.30pm, NSW time. So that's an hour ahead of Queensland and 11 hours ahead of UK, 9 hours ahead of KL.

The bus ride here was pleasant and very scenic as we came through southport, surfers Paradise and coolangatta.

Greyhound buses are comfortable but a standard bus by Asia standard.

Byron bay is a nice seaside resort with lots of local surf style shops, cages and restaurants.

I'm Staying at backpackers holiday village on the main street in town and have been put in an 'apartment' basically there is a private lounge with LCD TV, kitchen and bathroom and then two 4 bed dorms off the lounge. So I'm sharing the apartment with 7 lads! Young, party lads, great! Oh well, it's only for 2nts. There is a pool though plus volleyball court.

I had a walk through town, got a coffee and then had fish and chips Overlooking the bay whilst the sun set, perfect

There is no wifi at the hostel, so I have to sit outside either the bus stop or X backpackers world travel.

Tomorrow I plan to take the hours
walk to the lighthouse, but early morning or late afternoon when the sun goes down as its sooooo hot here!

Sunday I leave for Coffs Harbour.

Love to all xxx
