Hey hey
I just spent the last 3 days in Byron and it was incredible. I loved it, gorgeous beach, clear blue sea and the weather during the day was perfect!!
Byron bay is really hippy, loads of surf shops, the hostel we stayed at was called arts factory and it was so funky, hammocks out in the
garden, a lake and a volley ball pitch. The dorm was really nice, the hostel was slightly strange with the rules and deposits etc but never
mind.
The day we arrived we spent ages down on the beach, had some food and went shopping. Becky got her tattoo done which looks really good and
we spent the rest of the day sitting by the sea.
That night we went to a club called cheeky monkeys, great music and a good club, was quite quiet though. We stayed there for a bit then went
back to the hostel. It was freeezing cold at night, colder than anything!!! Was crazy how hot it was during the day and how cold it
got at night.
The next day we spent down at the beach, walked for ages down the beach until we got to a view point that looked over the beach and the
sea. We spotted dolphins swimming together really close to the shore. Was amazing, I think we counted 6 in total. We also saw a whale out to
sea which was incredible, couldn't believe it!! We layed on the beach until it was getting dark and nippy then headed
back to the hostel. Made some omelettes which I am now the expert at then went and warmed up over a nice cup of coffee on the hammocks
outside. We chilled out till it got late then went bed.

All in all Byron bay was amazing, shame it cold so cold at night but was still amazing. :D
Anyway. Speak soon 😊

Byron Bay 50 years ago
I remember camping in byron Bay as a young child. No hippies or hostels then, just a light house, fields, beach and sea. Idyllic!
